Willie D. Douglas

Mr. Willie D. Douglas, age 44, of Unionville, TN, died Friday, December 4, 2020, in Murfreesboro, TN.  He was born in Bedford County, TN and was the son of Walter Phillip and Brenda Fay Adcock Douglas.  Willie worked as a general manager for Shelbyville Lumber Company and was a member of the Emmnauel Pentecostal Church.  He was a graduate of the Class of 1994 from Community High School.  Willie served as a Captain in the Unionville Fire Department and a reserve deputy for the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office.  He was a member of the Bedford County 911 Board, a board member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, a coach and former President of the Unionville Baseball League.  Willie provided security at many Halls Mill Club events, assisted with hunter education classes with TWRA, and loved racing slot cars.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Elizabeth Douglas, and William Henry Adcock.

Willie is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, DeDe Adams Douglas of Unionville, TN; children, Audrey Diane Douglas of Shelbyville, TN, William Joseph Douglas of Unionville, TN, Noah Benjamin Douglas of Unionville, TN; grandchild, James Douglas Stark Tillett; parents, Phillip “Scutt” and Brenda Adcock Douglas of Unionville, TN; sister, Michelle Douglas of Unionville, TN; grandmother, Mary Frances Adcock of Unionville, TN; special nephews, Aaron McClung, Seth McClung, Josiah Edwards; special niece, Esther Edwards.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be conducted from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 11 AM on Friday, December 11, 2020 with Pastor Ron Adams and Pastor Jay Pope officiating.  Interment will follow at Crowell’s Chapel Cemetery in the Halls Mill Community of Bedford County, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
