Robert Holmes

Mr. Robert Dale Holmes, age 64, of Franklin, TN died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.  Mr. Holmes was born in Huntingdon, TN and was a son of the late Robert Buford and Lula Mae Mayo Holmes.  Dale was the founder of Brentwood Tree Farms and worked with his passion for most of his adult life.  He loved to barbeque and cook fish and hush puppies for his family and friends and he loved scuba diving, singing country music, playing guitar, water skiing, boating and watching his kids grow up to become great young adults.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Lesseg.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Shelley Holmes; a daughter, Emily Jane Holmes; a son, Robert Lyle Holmes; 2 sisters, Bertie (Ernest) Douglas and Joyce (Willard) Sullivan, both of Huntingdon, TN; a brother, Jerry Holmes of Paris, TN.

A Memorial Service was conducted at the Holmes residence, Lewisburg Pike, Franklin, TN on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1 PM with John Everett Williams officiating.
